One-stop LED Lighting Solution Provider
Swimming enjoys widespread popularity, particularly during the summer months. With the rise of various aquatic events and advancements in economic prosperity, indoor swimming competitions and dedicated teaching facilities have become more prevalent. Professional swimming pool lighting fixtures are now a staple for many operators. High-quality LED lighting serves a dual purpose: it elevates the athletic performance and mindset of swimmers or users while also enhancing safety measures and optimizing venue utilization.
Proper lighting is crucial for swimming pool visibility, especially in professional competitions requiring a lux level of 800-1200 lux. Indoor halls prioritize lamp inspection, avoiding placement above water, except with special channels. Venues without TV broadcast needs scatter lamps under ceilings or on walls, while those with broadcast requirements use light strips along pool banks. Careful lamp placement under diving platforms and springboards eliminates shadows and provides key lighting for warm-up pools. In professional competitions, avoid placing lamps above the diving pool to prevent light interference and reflections.
Lamps directly above venue for better lighting but high maintenance costs.
Column in auditorium and pool partition; illuminates pool directly, energy-saving, but may block the auditorium.
Uses horseway lamps on top for venue and auditorium lighting, ensuring comprehensive illumination.
For competition pools, LED lamps on both sides minimize reflected light, avoiding interference with athletes. Considerations include glare and stroboscopic treatment, lamp installation height, ensuring audience comfort without direct stimulation.
Controlling glare in swimming pool lighting is crucial due to water's unique optical properties. Manage reflected glare by limiting the projection angle of the lamps. For sports swimming pools, keep the projection angle under 60°, and for regular swimming pools, under 55° (preferably 50°). Larger projection angles result in more reflected light on the water surface. In diving areas, lights must avoid causing discomfort within 2 meters from the diving platform and 5 meters on the springboard to the water surface. Strictly control glare for TV broadcasts, using lighting fixtures with over 500W LED lamps.
Illuminance uniformity, the ratio of minimum to average illuminance on a surface, is crucial for visual comfort. Higher uniformity enhances illumination quality, especially important for professional tennis matches held in swimming pools.
Maintain a color temperature of 4000-5700K for indoor natatorium lights and 5000-6500K for outdoor swimming pool lighting.
Switching from metal halide to LED lights offers instant maximum brightness compared to the delayed 5 to 10 minutes with metal halide. When replacing pool lights, consider the power equivalence; our 100W LED floodlight equals a 400W metal halide, and our 400W LED light matches a 1000W MH, ensuring balanced brightness.
Reduced power consumption not only enhances efficiency but also slashes electricity costs. Professional lighting design relies on DIALUX simulation for optimal lamp placement and lens angles. RAYBORN provides free simulations, minimizing labor costs and ensuring an efficiently lit swimming pool.
