The International Tennis Federation and the National Sports Commission have meticulously established guidelines for tennis court specifications that leave no room for compromise. These regulations dictate that a standard tennis court must stretch no less than 36.6 meters in length and span no less than 18.3 meters in width, ensuring an equitable playing field for all competitors. In the case of multiple courts constructed in parallel, a stringent minimum requirement of 4 meters between the sidelines of adjacent venues is enforced to maintain proper spacing and prevent any interference. When it comes to indoor tennis courts, precision is paramount, with stipulations that the vertical clearance above the baseline should be a minimum of 6.40 meters and the vertical clearance above the indoor roof must not dip below 11.5 meters. These meticulous standards exemplify the commitment of the tennis governing bodies to uphold the integrity and fairness of the sport at every level of play.

Requirement

The outdoor tennis court lighting system is generally set according to the following requirements:

  • Both sides of the court use light poles to arrange lights laterally
  • On both sides along the long axis,each side arrange 2,3,and 4 light poles.
  • For entertainment tennis courts,the light poles height 6-8m is needed at least.
  • For competition tennis court,the light pole installation height should be 12 meters at least.
  • If the auditorium is located on one or both sides of the venue,the lighting pole should be located behind the auditorium to avoid interference to the audience.
  • Tennis usually moves at high speed in a short distance,it is necessary to judge the running direction of the ball in a short time,so tennis requires high visual and light requirements.

If the club wants to hold a professional tennis match,it not only requires playing field have good lighting,also requires sufficient brightness in the space above the venue at a certain height.Therefore,the height of a single outdoor tennis court light pole in the club (official competition) should ensure that the installation of the lowest light fixture is at least 12m away from the ground (two side-by-side venues are 15m,and three side-by-side venues are 18m).

Requirements

Tennis usually moves at high speed in a short distance,it is necessary to judge the running direction of the ball in a short time,so tennis requires high visual and light requirements.

For indoor tennis court Led lighting layout,not arrange lamps above the competition area.If there are court lighting lamps above the competition area,the lights will bring glare to the players.Therefore,if conditions permit,indoor tennis courts can generally arrange tennis court lights at more suitable positions on both sides of the court,installation height of the lamps should not be lower than 9 meters.The indoor tennis court entertainment is 200-300lux request,training mode request 300-500lux,competition need 500-750-1000lux,and 30lux-100lux in audience seats.
